Michael is a co-founder and Stellar’s Chief Executive Officer. Michael has invested in healthcare companies for the past decade. Prior to Stellar Health, Michael was a Principal at Apax Partners, a large cap global private equity firm where he deployed C$3bn of capital and served on the board of companies including Vyaire Medical, Medicomp, One Call Care Management, and TriZetto. In addition, he currently serves on the board of the CUNY School of Public Health and Global Language Project. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan and an MBA from Wharton. Michael likes to play basketball, travel, and go on long hikes (e.g. Kilimanjaro, Lascar, and Everest Base Camp).
Ari is a co-founder and Stellar’s Chief Operating Officer, leading Stellar’s implementations team in their mission to improve PCP care delivery at scale. Ari started his career at McKinsey & Company in NYC, where he consulted for insurers, health systems, and the public sector on healthcare transformation. Prior to founding Stellar, he also led operations at a healthcare tech & services company, where he became engrossed in the challenge of augmenting provider workflows. Ari has a B.A. in Neurobiology from Harvard College, Magna Cum Laude. In his free time, Ari enjoys watching (and sometimes performing) theater.
Octavian is a co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at Stellar Health. Octavian has built technology products that have supported more than 60 million users worldwide. Previously, Octavian co-founded the consumer retail platform Spring. Octavian also spent five years at Google, building the original Google Finance platform and contributing to several Google Maps feature sets.
Casey is the Chief Growth Officer at Stellar Health. Previously, Casey was a Managing Director and founding employee of a start-up healthcare management consulting firm. During his tenure, Casey served as an executive advisor to payors, providers, and the surrounding ecosystem of the healthcare industry. Casey’s areas of focus were the development of transformative business models and value-based care strategies that aligned payor economics with providers to achieve affordability. Casey received his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
Ben is a co-founder and the President at Stellar Health. He has helped healthcare providers increase quality and profitability following the Affordable Care Act. Previously, Ben served as President of Quality Health Ideas which operated the largest MSSP-ACO in the United States and launched a Medicare Advantage plan. Ben is a McKinsey alum and received his MBA from Wharton.
Howard is the Chief Medical Officer at Stellar Health. He has been a physician executive for 20+ years. Previously, Howard served as the Senior Medical Director for Aetna Accountable Care Solutions, where he built a care coordination infrastructure for ProHealth Physicians, a provider group that was then acquired at a premium by Optum.
Katie works on the Operations team as a Provider Performance Associate. Previously, she worked at Optum as part of the growth office, focused on partnering with mid-sized health systems to drive performance. Katie graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics and Neuroscience. Outside of work, Katie enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Bogdan works on the Patient Outcomes team as an Engineering Manager at Stellar Health. Previously, he was the CTO and co-founder of Sailo.com, and prior to that, he held various engineering roles at several startups and large companies in domains like signal processing, embedded applications, and compilers. Bogdan likes using innovative technology to solve real world problems, and he enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and playing tennis.
Joel works on the Non-Clinical Workflow team as a Software Engineer 2 at Stellar Health. Before joining Stellar, he attended the University of Michigan (go blue!) where he studied Computer Science, then made stops at Epic Systems, Carbon-12 Labs, and TokenSoft. Outside of work, Joel is passionate about soccer, movies, and travel.
Kavya serves as an Operations Lead at Stellar Health. Most recently, she was a Client Strategy & Ops Manager at RubiconMD, and prior to that she served as a life sciences Strategy Consultant at IQVIA (formerly IMS Health). She is passionate about improving healthcare quality and access, and loves working for mission-driven startups. Kavya holds a B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and enjoys traveling, cooking, painting, and playing tennis.
Keith joined Stellar Health as a Strategic Operations Lead in October 2020, helping guide client strategy and execution. He was previously working at COPE Health Solutions, a healthcare consulting firm, assisting payors and providers in their transition to value-based care. He loves being part of the transformation of healthcare, redefining the payor-provider relationship, and innovating patient care. Keith holds a B.S. from New York University in Global Public Health and Biology. In his free time, he is either catching up on all things pop culture or trying out the latest hip workout class.
Avery works on the Operations team as a Customer Operations Manager, managing strategy, implementation, and performance for Stellar’s payor partners. Previously, Avery worked in mental health research assessing the effectiveness and impact of NYC Health interventions and community-based initiatives, and prior to that she implemented digital advertising campaigns for a range of Fortune 500 companies. Avery holds a Masters in Public Health Policy from the CUNY School of Public Health, and a B.S. in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. When she’s not driving VBC improvement, Avery can be found playing with her French Bulldog, Marty, or doing yoga.
Corin works on the Operations team as a Provider Performance Associate at Stellar Health. Previously, he was a Research Assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, focusing on clinical outcomes research in the department of orthopedic surgery. Corin holds a B.A. from Columbia University. Corin enjoys cooking, hiking, and long walks with his dog Sadie.
Zack leads Stellar’s partnerships with healthcare providers as the Director of Provider Network & Strategy. Prior to Stellar, Zack advised both providers and payors on value-based care strategies and M&A in Deloitte Consulting’s Healthcare Strategy & Operations practice. His previous experience also includes Boston Children’s Hospital’s Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator and PwC’s Healthcare Advisory practice. Zack is a graduate of Boston College and Columbia Business School, currently serving on the advisory board for Columbia Business School’s Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management Program. Outside of work, Zack enjoys barbecuing, spending time in the Adirondacks, and traveling.
Minna is Director of Integrations and Technical Partnerships at Stellar Health. She’s had the privilege of seeing the inner workings of healthcare through her work with successful health tech companies such as athenahealth and Phreesia during their early and mid-stages. Some of her most rewarding work involved connecting providers, patients, and payors through integrated workflows and data. A fun fact about Minna, wanting to experience healthcare from the ground up and seeing core issues firsthand, began her healthcare experience managing a couple of pediatric offices in the greater Boston area.
Cat is currently an Operations Lead at Stellar Health, responsible for setting strategy and driving performance for Stellar’s first multi-line partnership with a major payor. Across nine years in healthcare with roles in tech, non-profit, and consulting, Cat has specialized in streamlining care delivery, operating model transformation, analytics-driven performance improvement, and technical integration. She’s passionate about smoothing out the kinks of the U.S. healthcare system that so often lead to provider burnout, patient discouragement, and administrator defeat.
Ellery works on the Clinical Point-of-Care Workflows Product team as a Senior Engineer at Stellar Health. Before moving to New York in 2018 he spent over a decade living in Vermont, where he worked as an engineer for a variety of start-ups. Ellery is passionate about all areas of software development, from building the best user experience all the way down to ensuring the highest technical quality of the code. In his free time, Ellery has developed a robust CV of research publications in the field of Evolutionary Computation. He is also an avid fan of karaoke, after spending his final year of college studying abroad in Japan.
Aaron is Director of Operations at Stellar Health and works on the Operations team focused on payors and risk-bearing medical groups (e.g. IPAs, ACOs). Prior to Stellar he spent five years as Market GM at Iora Health, an at risk primary care group. Aaron is passionate about transitioning our healthcare system to value-based care and empowering primary care providers to be the key lever in this transition. Aaron holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business.
Connor works on the data and integrations team at Stellar Health. Previously, he spent time working on BNY Mellon’s innovation initiative and doing data and analytics at Movable Ink. Connor is an avid cyclist and has a passion for open-source and innovative storytelling in video games.
Sadia works on the Provider Network team, helping lead provider relationships at Stellar Health. She was previously a consultant at Bain & Company working across Southern Africa and the Middle East and spent some time on the Digital Product team at Care/Of, a preventative healthcare startup in NYC. Sadia holds an MBA from The Wharton School where she majored in Operations and Decision Making. In her spare time Sadia is usually discovering new consumer brands, cooking vegan meals, trying to learn French, or thinking about how to democratize access to quality care to those who need it the most.
Yussef works on the Operations team as a Senior Provider Performance Associate at Stellar Health. Previously, he was a Senior Operations Associate at Nomad Health in New York, and prior to that, he was attending the School of Podiatric Medicine. Yussef has a passion for helping providers deliver quality care while helping to ensure healthcare remains affordable. Yussef holds a B.S. from Boston University and enjoys rugby, reading, and traveling.
Ali leads our Clinical Point-of-Care Workflows team as a Product Manager at Stellar Health. Prior to that, he was a Product Manager for the Pricing Team at Jet.com and Walmart eCommerce, working on algorithmic pricing and competitive analysis. Ali has a passion for breaking down complex workflows and empathizing with users to build solutions that work for them. When he’s not working at Stellar, Ali spends his time taking photos, making wedding films, and pursuing other creative endeavors. Ali holds a B.A. in Economics and Global Health from Northwestern University.
Kara is a part of our HR team as the Office & People Operations Coordinator. Prior to Stellar, she completed her B.A. from Barnard College, where she also held roles as a Research Assistant, Fact-Checker, and Teacher. Kara loves supporting Stellar’s rapidly growing team. Outside of work, she loves reading, knitting, traveling, and consuming many forms of pop culture.
Eleni is the Director of Product Management and focuses on ensuring the App continues to drive value for Stellar’s users. Eleni has spent the last decade in healthcare focused on the roles at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations. Eleni is a problem solver at heart and takes great joy from delivering simple but meaningful products. Eleni holds an MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, and previously worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering, PwC, and Remedy Partners. Eleni is originally from Greece, but considers herself a proud New Yorker.
Tobin works on the Patient Outcomes Product team as a Product Manager at Stellar Health. Previously, he was a Product Manager at Blink Health in New York, and prior to that, he worked for a startup in the logistics space in São Paulo, Brazil where he worked in Product and Growth roles. Tobin loves understanding users and building software products that make a difference in people’s lives. Tobin holds a B.A. from Tulane University and is a big fan of traveling, reading, cooking, and cycling.
Benedict works on the Clinical Point-of-Care Workflows team as a Senior Software Engineer at Stellar Health, focused on improving the Stellar Application for healthcare providers and medical assistants. Previously he was the tech lead of an analytics team at Google AdWords building sales tools responsible for billions of dollars of annual revenue, and an engineer at Hometeam, a home care focused startup in New York City. He holds a BA and MS from Stanford University.
Irene serves as an Operations Lead, responsible for driving strategy and performance for Stellar Health customers. Previously, she worked in healthcare market insights consulting at GLG, helping clients across the value chain shape their market and product strategies. Irene is passionate about making healthcare more accessible and equitable, especially using behavioral economics to bolster primary and preventative care. She holds a B.S. from Yale University and enjoys yoga, solo travel, embroidery projects, and period dramas.
Tim works on the Finance team as Controller at Stellar Health. Previously, he spent five years as an Accounting Manager at Betterment in New York. Tim finds fulfillment in working at mission-driven startups and growth stage companies and helping them achieve scale to further their positive impact on the world. Tim is a UNC-Chapel Hill alum.
Angela works as the Chief of Staff and Special Projects Lead at Stellar Health. Previously, she worked as an Investor at TA Associates where she focused on healthcare. Angela holds a B.Sc. from the University of Pennsylvania – the Wharton School, and in her spare time enjoys skiing, water sports, and cooking fusion food.
Diane works on the Patient Outcomes Product team as a Software Engineer at Stellar Health. Previously, she worked at PwC in New York on the Data Engineering team, helping to automate various components of the audit process. Diane grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Georgia Tech for undergrad. She enjoys running, traveling, and trying new foods.
Daniel works on the Business Development team at Stellar Health, where he leads network development and value-based program strategy. He has wide-reaching healthcare experience in clinical operations, healthcare finance, and value-based care contracting. Although his focus is on the business side, Daniel’s healthcare passion and reason for working at Stellar Health is the desire to drive patient outcomes through system-wide change. Daniel received his MS in Health Informatics from Cornell University, MHA from the University of British Columbia, and BSc. from McGill University.
Lisa works on the Patient Outcomes team as a Senior Software Engineer. Previously, she was a Backend Engineer at a real estate startup called LoftSmart, and prior to that she worked as an Engineer at Pillar, Blink Health, and BNY Mellon. Lisa loves problem-solving and is passionate about using her engineering skills to help build a better world for everyone. Lisa holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Music from Williams College, and enjoys reading and fostering dogs in her free time.
Luan works on the Engineering team as Stellar Health’s Manager of IT & Compliance. Previously he was an IT Operations Manager at Greenhouse Software, and prior to that, he worked at the renown Christie’s art auction house at their Rockefeller Center location as a Global IT Support & Operations Manager. Luan is also a professional portrait, fashion, and fine art photographer which allows him to bring a creative perspective to how he approaches technological problem-solving.
Kelli works on the Operations team as a Manager of Analytics/BI and Customer Operations. Previously, she was a Management Consultant in the healthcare industry where she learned the power of using data to drive decisions. Kelli is passionate about furthering the implementation of value-based-care with a specific focus on getting information to the right stakeholder at the right time. Kelli is a native (and proud!) Hoosier and holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University.
Eric works on the Operations team as a Provider Performance Associate. Prior to joining Stellar, he worked on the Business Development and Clinical Marketing teams, respectively, for React Neuro and Hydrocision Inc., two Massachusetts-based health-tech startups. At Stellar, he enjoys the work that goes into helping patients lead longer, healthier, and happier lives. Eric graduated from Harvard College in May 2020 with a B.A. in Neuroscience and a minor in Economics. Outside of work he enjoys swimming, reading, jogging, learning about the latest research in neural prosthetics, and developing new interests.
Josh is an Integrations Engineer at Stellar Health. His previous experience includes data and ETL engineering at pymetrics, Bloomberg, and the International Monetary Fund. He enjoys trying new foods, especially when traveling to other countries.
Roma works as a Provider Performance Associate as part of the Operations team at Stellar Health. Previously, she was a Healthcare Project Manager at Guidepoint Global working with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. Roma graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Health Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. In her free time, Roma enjoys cooking, puzzles, and spending time outside!
Taylor is an Integrations Engineer on the Engineering team. Taylor comes to Stellar from Rearc where she provided DevOps support for clients migrating to the cloud. At Stellar, Taylor helps process millions of rows of patient data on a daily basis. In her free time, you can find Taylor doing ballet and contemporary dance, plus training and performing all around New York City.
Imoinda is a Senior Care Coordinator at Stellar Health. While earning her degree in Psychology, she spent her career focusing on patient care and clinical outcomes. She previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shoreview Nursing Home. She also has experience as a Home Health Aide and as a Rehabilitation Specialist. Imoinda has always enjoyed connecting with people and families. She loves being a part of the Care Coordination team and making a difference, one person at a time!
Glenna is focused on Data & Analytics as part of the Operations team at Stellar Health. After graduating from Georgetown with a B.S. in Foreign Service and a focus on global health, Glenna worked as a Policy Analyst at the U.N. and as a population health Data Analyst at Healthfirst. She is passionate about simplifying healthcare and expanding access to care for vulnerable populations. In her free time, you can find her flipping furniture, playing the guitar, or trying new hiking trails.
Maria’s passion for value-based care stems from her own encounters with the healthcare system and her experiences designing VBC programs for payors across the country. At Stellar Health, Maria initiates the activation of VBC by sharing the Stellar Health value proposition with payors and providers and managing ongoing relationships. She was formerly a Manager at HealthScape Advisors, where, in addition to VBC program design, Maria supported health plans in the development and execution of strategic initiatives related to VBC and network design. Maria is an alumna of the University of Notre Dame.
Alex is a Senior Engineer on the Data and Integrations team at Stellar Health. He has worked across multiple industries such as media, banking, hospitality, and healthtech. When not building new data flow pipelines, Alex enjoys playing soccer and traveling.
Amar is a Senior Software Engineer working on the Non-Clinical Workflows team. He has been a developer for most of his career, with over a decade of engineering experience. In his spare time, Amar likes to travel, read, learn photography, and dabble in game development. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Sarajevo.
Katie is a Manager of the Provider Performance team at Stellar Health. Across a decade working in healthcare, she has focused experience building provider engagement within health systems and medical groups. She is passionate about creating innovative models of healthcare delivery that promote financial sustainability and better outcomes. Katie has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.
Tejas works on enterprise sales and market intelligence on the Business Development team at Stellar Health. Previously, Tejas worked as an Analyst at Triple Tree in healthcare investment banking, and prior to that, he worked as an M&A Analyst at Meridian Behavioral Health. Tejas holds a B.A. from Macalester College and likes mixing music, running, and cooking.
Eugene works on the Data and Integrations team as the Technical Program Manager at Stellar Health. Prior to Stellar Health, he was a Technical Program Manager at Uber in New York, and just before relocating back to the East Coast, he worked as a systems engineer building ETL pipelines in Uber’s San Francisco office. Eugene enjoys solving difficult technical problems with systematic and scalable solutions. Outside of work, Eugene likes to travel, spend time with his family, and hike with his dog Hudson.
Andrew is a Customer Operations Associate within the Operations team. Prior to Stellar Health, he worked at Oliver Wyman, where he advised clients across a variety of topics, including healthcare payor strategy and provider performance measurement. Andrew graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A.S. in Computer Science. In his free time, Andrew enjoys exploring new restaurants, watching basketball, and spending time outdoors.
Martine works on the Operations team as a Provider Operations Manager at Stellar Health. Previously, she worked as a Clinical Intelligence Associate at Parachute Health in New York. Martine holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. Martine enjoys exploring new restaurants and spending time outside with her Bernedoodle.
Caitlin is the Director of HR at Stellar Health. Prior to Stellar, Caitlin spent the past decade in New York City with other technology companies. She has managed HR and Recruiting for international startups and helped scale high-growth businesses. Her favorite role to date (outside Stellar of course) was working at Spring as Director, HR and Head of Recruiting. A fun fact about Caitlin, she has run 10 marathons, and Berlin was by far her most favorite course!
Walt is a Customer Operations Associate within our Customer Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar Health, Walt worked at McKinsey & Company in Atlanta, where he consulted healthcare payors, health systems, and public sector entities on strategy projects. Walt has a degree in Health Policy and Management from UNC-Chapel Hill. In his free time, Walt loves spending time outdoors (on the water, downhill skiing, etc.) or is learning how to cook new things.
Ted works on the Data team at Stellar, ensuring clean and usable data is available for everyone that needs it. Previously, he led Analytics at mindbodygreen.com, a wellness media company, and worked on the Operations and Product teams as an early employee at Nomad Health, a now Series C healthtech startup. Ted graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and thrives in the messy world of early stage tech. Outside of work, he’s an avid indoorsman, and you can find him shamelessly watching reality TV in any form with his dog, Charlie.
Stavroula started with Stellar Health back in 2019 as a Business Administration Intern and joined full-time as a Business Development Coordinator upon graduating from Loyola University in May 2020. She is now a Business Development Associate who works cross-functionally on internal business development and on our Provider Sales team, aspiring to learn all she can about healthcare. Outside Stellar Health, Stavroula loves traveling, photography, and food.
