Michael is a co-founder and Stellar’s Chief Executive Officer. Michael has invested in healthcare companies for the past decade. Prior to Stellar Health, Michael was a Principal at Apax Partners, a large cap global private equity firm where he deployed C$3bn of capital and served on the board of companies including Vyaire Medical, Medicomp, One Call Care Management, and TriZetto. In addition, he currently serves on the board of the CUNY School of Public Health and Global Language Project. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan and an MBA from Wharton. Michael likes to play basketball, travel, and go on long hikes (e.g. Kilimanjaro, Lascar, and Everest Base Camp).
Octavian is a co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at Stellar Health. Octavian has built technology products that have supported more than 60 million users worldwide. Previously, Octavian co-founded the consumer retail platform Spring. Octavian also spent five years at Google, building the original Google Finance platform and contributing to several Google Maps feature sets.
Samantha is a compliance executive and strategic risk advisor with significant experience in the healthcare and energy industries. She most recently served as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Cardinal Innovations Healthcare providing leadership and oversight to the program integrity, risk, audit, compliance, and ethics programs. Prior to her role at Cardinal, Samantha supported the ethics and compliance offices at two world renowned energy companies, Duke Energy and NextEra Energy. She received a Master of Science in Business Ethics and Compliance from the New England College of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts from Purchase College. She is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional and a member of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Compliance Association. In her spare time, Samantha can usually be found working on a home improvement project while always dreaming of the next one, or tending to her large houseplant collection, begging them to keep it together and stay alive.
Howard is the Chief Medical Officer at Stellar Health. He has been a physician executive for 20+ years. Previously, Howard served as the Senior Medical Director for Aetna Accountable Care Solutions, where he built a care coordination infrastructure for ProHealth Physicians, a provider group that was then acquired at a premium by Optum.
Adam Gail has spent the last fifteen years building and scaling high performing sales teams for innovative and high growth organizations in healthcare technology. With extensive experience selling into both the payor and provider space, most recently Adam was the Chief Revenue Officer for RubiconMD. There he was responsible for all commercial functions including leading the sales, account management and marketing teams. RubiconMD was acquired by OakStreet Health in October of 2021.
Prior to that he spent four years in the position of Vice President of Sales at naviHealth, where he helped drive the organization’s rapid expansion in risk bearing post-acute management models. Adam also was a member of the sales leadership team that grew the commercial side of the business at Curaspan Health Group, ultimately resulting in the sale of the company to naviHealth in 2016.
Avi works on the Finance team as a Senior Accountant at Stellar Health. Prior to joining Stellar, he spent 6 years in the Assurance department at BDO USA working on financial statement audits. He is a Muhlenberg College alum where he double majored in Accounting and Finance. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, investing and riding his Peloton.
Katie works on the Operations team as a Senior Provider Performance Associate. Previously, she worked at Optum as part of the growth office, focused on partnering with mid-sized health systems to drive performance. Katie graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics and Neuroscience. Outside of work, Katie enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Arielle is a Strategic Operations Manager at Stellar Health. Previously, she worked at a healthcare management consulting firm guiding strategic planning at hospitals and health systems. Arielle is driven by a passion for health equity and access. She holds a B.S. in psychology from Tulane University and an MHA from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Bunker, trying new fitness classes, and exploring all that New York has to offer.
Luke is on the Customer Growth team. Prior to joining Stellar, Luke worked at andros helping health plans build and manage their provider networks and at Cloudmed Solutions working with health systems to maximize their revenue. Luke graduated from Duke University and in his free time enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time outdoors, hiking, boating and fishing.
Christalee is a Software Engineer 2 on the Clinical Point-of-Care Workflows team. Previously they’ve taught STEM and design at the Workshop School in Philadelphia and produced course materials for MIT OpenCourseWare. When they’re not working, they enjoy cooking vegetarian food and brewing beer, playing with cats, and biking around NYC.
Keith joined Stellar Health as a Strategic Operations Lead in October 2020, helping guide client strategy and execution. He was previously working at COPE Health Solutions, a healthcare consulting firm, assisting payors and providers in their transition to value-based care. He loves being part of the transformation of healthcare, redefining the payor-provider relationship, and innovating patient care. Keith holds a B.S. from New York University in Global Public Health and Biology. In his free time, he is either catching up on all things pop culture or trying out the latest hip workout class.
Clayton is a Senior Associate on the Provider Network and Strategy team. Prior to joining Stellar, he worked in various strategy and operations roles at Humana and Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. He holds a Master of Health Administration from The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In his free time, you can catch him trying new restaurants throughout the city, going to concerts, or escaping to the beach.
Joe operates as a member of the Patient Outcomes team as a Software Engineer. Previously he worked at AT&T as part of the Cyber Security Organization building an authentication credential management system that was used by over 7000 users. Joe is a New Jersey native and graduated with a B.S. from Stevens Institute of Technology. His hobbies include travel, wrestling/jiu jitsu, and cooking.
Corin works on the Operations team as a Senior Provider Performance Associate at Stellar Health. Previously, he was a Research Assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, focusing on clinical outcomes research in the department of orthopedic surgery. Corin holds a B.A. from Columbia University. Corin enjoys cooking, hiking, and long walks with his dog Sadie.
Sarah works on the Strategic Operations team. Prior to Stellar she was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she led strategy and operations projects for healthcare clients. Sarah began her career in the social sector, first as an AmeriCorps member at the nonprofit Peace First and then in social sector consulting at Wellspring Consulting. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Political Science from Williams College. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys baking, traveling, and either snowboarding or sailing depending on the season.
Zack leads Stellar’s partnerships with healthcare providers as the Director of Provider Network & Strategy. Prior to Stellar, Zack advised both providers and payors on value-based care strategies and M&A in Deloitte Consulting’s Healthcare Strategy & Operations practice. His previous experience also includes Boston Children’s Hospital’s Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator and PwC’s Healthcare Advisory practice. Zack is a graduate of Boston College and Columbia Business School, currently serving on the advisory board for Columbia Business School’s Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management Program. Outside of work, Zack enjoys barbecuing, spending time in the Adirondacks, and traveling.
Emily is a Senior Engineer 1 on the Actions team. Prior to joining Stellar, she was a lead engineer at Alteryx where she worked with several teams building predictive modeling software. In her free time she DJs, fosters dogs, plays guitar and has not yet given up on her drum set.
Cory is a Senior Business Recruiter on the HR team. Prior to joining Stellar, She worked at an Agency, as a Recruiter, specializing in Operations, Sales, and Finance & Accounting. Cory graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a degree in Media and Society. In her free time, she enjoys Running, Golfing, and spending time outdoors.
Ellery works on the Clinical Point-of-Care Workflows Product team as a Senior Engineer at Stellar Health. Before moving to New York in 2018 he spent over a decade living in Vermont, where he worked as an engineer for a variety of start-ups. Ellery is passionate about all areas of software development, from building the best user experience all the way down to ensuring the highest technical quality of the code. In his free time, Ellery has developed a robust CV of research publications in the field of Evolutionary Computation. He is also an avid fan of karaoke, after spending his final year of college studying abroad in Japan.
Kate is a Senior Associate on the Provider Operations team. She holds a Master’s in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining Stellar, Kate worked in market access consulting. In her free time, Kate enjoys taking long walks in New York and trying new recipes.
William is a Software Engineer on the Patient Outcomes Product team. Prior to joining Stellar, he worked as a Data Engineer in the travel industry. William attended Penn State for undergraduate and University of Utah for graduate studies. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, surfing and mountain biking.
Mike is a Senior Associate on the Provider Network & Strategy team. Prior to joining Stellar, Mike worked in business development at a national health plan. He also spent time managing and implementing EMR platforms with large health systems. Mike holds a MHA from The Ohio State University and a BS in Public Health from Kent State University. In his free time, Mike enjoys hiking and roasting his own coffee.
Anthony is a Technical Recruiting Director at Stellar Health. Prior to this role, he has helped scale talent for several high-growth tech startups that have since gone on to IPO or that have been acquired. His most passionate initiative to date was scaling Compass’s Product & Engineering function from 150 to 450 employees in a calendar year. Some fun facts about Anthony are that he’s played soccer in 7 different countries and his family is full of healthcare professionals!
Eleni is the Director of Product Management and focuses on ensuring the App continues to drive value for Stellar’s users. Eleni has spent the last decade in healthcare focused on the roles at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations. Eleni is a problem solver at heart and takes great joy from delivering simple but meaningful products. Eleni holds an MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, and previously worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering, PwC, and Remedy Partners. Eleni is originally from Greece, but considers herself a proud New Yorker.
Nishanth is an Operations Lead at Stellar Health. Previously, he worked at Oliver Wyman in their Health and Life Sciences practice. Having worked on both the provider and payer sides, Nishanth understands the complex challenges and exciting opportunities facing healthcare entities and is committed to working towards a more consumer-centric, value-oriented model. For his clients, he has focused on developing enterprise multi-year strategies, go-to-market business cases, and affordability and population health management approaches. Nishanth received his B.S. degree from Cornell University in Applied Economics & Management. In his free time, Nishanth loves traveling and playing pickup basketball.
Jess is a Business Recruiting Director on the People team. Most recently she worked as Talent Acquisition Partner at Shields Health Solutions, a specialty pharmacy accelerator, and prior to that was Recruiting Manager at Manning Personnel Group, a boutique staffing firm in Boston. She is passionate about building startup teams striving to improve the quality of healthcare in the US. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants and trips to Target.
Emily is a Manager on the Provider Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, she worked on on the implementation and evaluation of innovative health models at a research institute and later received her Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Health Policy and Management. In her free time, Emily loves to try learning new instruments and exploring restaurants in the city.
Jordan is a Director of Product at Stellar, focused on driving patient outcomes and meaningful incentives for practices. He is passionate about health equity and innovative business models in healthcare and has previously led product/technology teams at organizations like Epic, Kalderos, and BlueNovo. Jordan holds an MBA from Kellogg and a BS from Duke, and you can usually find him hunting down his next slice of pizza in his hometown of Chicago.
Joe Guay is an Associate on the Provider and Network Strategy Team. Prior to joining Stellar, Joe was at Clover Health, where he grew a network of primary care and specialty practices across several regions. Prior to Clover, Joe was at CVS Health focusing on provider contract negotiations and optimizing provider outreach processes. In his free time, Joe will spend time cooking, playing/watching sports, and getting out of the city for golf or the beach.
Tianshu is a Software Engineer on the engineering team. Prior to joining Stellar, she just graduated from Brandeis University with a computer science degree. In her free time, she loves hiking and playing video games.
Alice is a Senior Engineer 1 on the Point of Care team. Prior to joining Stellar, she has worked for an SMS Marketing company and a high-frequency trading company. In her free time, she really enjoys playing tennis and baking.
Jeremy is a Senior Software Engineer on the Actions team. Prior to joining Stellar, he worked at Palantir. In his free time, he likes to bike and look at cats.
Matt is an Associate on the Strategic Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, Matt worked in value based care research at the NYU School of Medicine. Matt is a graduate of the Villanova University with a B.S. in Biology. Matt enjoys hitting the links with friends and traveling both domestically and abroad in his free time.
Diane works on the Patient Outcomes Product team as a Software Engineer at Stellar Health. Previously, she worked at PwC in New York on the Data Engineering team, helping to automate various components of the audit process. Diane grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Georgia Tech for undergrad. She enjoys running, traveling, and trying new foods.
Daniel works on the Business Development team at Stellar Health, where he leads network development and value-based program strategy. He has wide-reaching healthcare experience in clinical operations, healthcare finance, and value-based care contracting. Although his focus is on the business side, Daniel’s healthcare passion and reason for working at Stellar Health is the desire to drive patient outcomes through system-wide change. Daniel received his MS in Health Informatics from Cornell University, MHA from the University of British Columbia, and BSc. from McGill University.
Ron is an associate on the Strategic Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, Ron graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and was a consultant at The Alexander Group, working with a variety of technology and healthcare organizations. In his free time, Ron enjoys playing tennis and basketball, and exploring the best pizza in New York.
Abby is a Senior Provider Performance Associate on the Provider Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, Abby studied public health topics in her undergrad education and has work experience in the health-tech space. She loves to cook, read, spend time outdoors, and go on long coffee walks!
Sean is an Integrations Engineer on the engineering team at Stellar Health. Sean comes to Stellar from Namely where he spent nearly five years building internal tools and integrations. In his spare time, Sean enjoys making music on synthesizers and bass guitar. You may also run into him as he is exploring the many sights and sounds of New York City.
Stephanie manages network growth for the New Jersey and New York Markets at Stellar Health. Prior to joining Stellar, Stephanie worked at a large health system in New York City, where she helped to implement new and emerging technologies into the Ambulatory Care Network. Stephanie received her Master’s in Health Administration from Columbia University.
Sarah serves as AVP of Provider Operations at Stellar Health. Prior to joining Stellar she led operations for the New York market at Galileo Medical, a health tech startup reimaging primary care for high-needs communities by providing accessible care in the home, community, and virtually. Before entering the health tech space, Sarah worked in health policy for the City of New York as the Director of Initiatives and Investments at the New York Alliance for Careers in Healthcare. Sarah started her career as a teacher in Queens and an employment coach for the Parks Opportunity Program, experiences that inform her current work. She has her MPA in Health Policy and Management from NYU Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service where she was awarded the Robert F. Wagner Award for Public Service for her contributions to the field. Sarah lives in Brooklyn and can be found hiking in the Adirondacks or hanging with her pup Zuzu in Prospect Park!
Manav is an Associate on the Strategic Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, he worked at Privia Health, where he led provider performance, growth strategy and attribution analytics as a member of the Operations Analytics team. Manav graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Bioengineering and a minor in Engineering Leadership. In his free time, Manav enjoys playing sports (mainly basketball), exploring new cities, and attending music festivals.
Roma is part of the Operations team at Stellar Health. Previously, she was a Healthcare Project Manager at Guidepoint Global working with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. Roma graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Health Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. In her free time, Roma enjoys cooking, puzzles, and spending time outside!
Sunny is a Strategic Operations Lead. Prior to Stellar Health, she was a consultant at Insight Sourcing Group focusing on strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, and private equity spend assessments. Sunny graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with dual degrees in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. In her free time, Sunny enjoys cooking, running, and playing the guitar!
Olivia is a Senior Associate on the Provider Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, Olivia was a healthcare consultant specializing in marketing and competitive strategy for pharmaceutical and health tech companies. Olivia holds a B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from NYU. In her free time, she enjoys painting, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with her cat Indi.
Keshav is a Strategic Operations Lead on the Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, Keshav worked in management consulting, advising payors on a variety of topics from strategic pricing to ACA market entry. In his free time, Keshav likes to play basketball and try out new restaurants.
Glenna is focused on Data & Analytics as part of the Operations team at Stellar Health. After graduating from Georgetown with a B.S. in Foreign Service and a focus on global health, Glenna worked as a Policy Analyst at the U.N. and as a population health Data Analyst at Healthfirst. She is passionate about simplifying healthcare and expanding access to care for vulnerable populations. In her free time, you can find her flipping furniture, playing the guitar, or trying new hiking trails.
Maria’s passion for value-based care stems from her own encounters with the healthcare system and her experiences designing VBC programs for payors across the country. At Stellar Health, Maria initiates the activation of VBC by sharing the Stellar Health value proposition with payors and providers and managing ongoing relationships. She was formerly a Manager at HealthScape Advisors, where, in addition to VBC program design, Maria supported health plans in the development and execution of strategic initiatives related to VBC and network design. Maria is an alumna of the University of Notre Dame.
Amar is a software engineer working on the Non-Clinical Workflows team. He has been a developer for most of his career, with over a decade of engineering experience. In his spare time, Amar likes to travel, read, learn photography, and dabble in game development. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Sarajevo.
Paul is a Senior People Operations Generalist on the People Team. Prior to joining Stellar, Paul worked in a variety of People-related roles at JetBlue, both in NYC and in South Florida. In his free time, Paul enjoys exploring new parts of NYC, researching the auto industry, and spending more time than he wants to admit scrolling through TikTok.
Hannah is a Senior Analyst on the Analytics team. Prior to joining Stellar, she worked on the Amazon Care team as a data scientist to build a tele- and in-person healthcare service. Her focus was on patient demand forecasting and clinician shift optimization. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the nature in Seattle, be it hiking, kayaking, camping, or running, and spends a lot of time in the kitchen baking new recipes.
Madeleine is a Provider Performance Associate on the Provider Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, she graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Neuroscience and French. Madeleine remained in Nashville for a year after graduation, where she worked in clinical research focused on pediatric surgical outcomes at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. She then spent a year working in Pharmaceutical Benefits Management before moving to Stellar. In her free time, Madeleine enjoys traveling, puzzling, watching movies, discovering new restaurants, and exploring New York City!
Aikya is a Lead on the Provider Performance team at Stellar. Previously, he worked in the Psychiatry Department at Duke University and on the Health Policy Team at SAS, where he cultivated a passion for improving healthcare delivery especially through leveraging analytics. Aikya has a B.S. in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Medical Sociology, as well as an M.S. in Population Health Sciences from Duke University. In his free time, Aikya enjoys playing sports (mainly volleyball), spending time outdoors, and learning to cook new recipes.
Isabelle is a Senior Provider Performance Associate on the Provider Operations team. Prior to joining Stellar, she worked as a pharmaceutical consultant for IQVIA. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending time outside.
Brie is a Senior Manager Care Coordination on the Operations Team. Prior to joining Stellar, Brie served as an Administrative Manager for Mount Sinai Health Partners Care Management and led Care Coordination and Phlebotomy operations at a functional medicine group practice. Brie is a Licensed Master of Social Work and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, listening to crime podcasts, traveling, cooking, and learning about the latest wellness trends.
Alicia Voorhees is a Director on the Growth and Market Development team where she leads Stellar’s provider network strategy across various markets. Alicia has extensive experience in value-based care. Most recently she ran business development and strategy for a Medicare Advantage plan in New York City. Alicia was directly responsible for implementing and maintaining the plan’s value-based care focused growth strategy and developing new markets. Alicia has also had roles in primary care organizations, FQHCs, and women’s health initiatives all focused on patient engagement and advocacy. Alicia has a Masters in Public Health from San Diego State University and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Alex is a Software Engineer on the Practice Staff team. Prior to joining Stellar, he worked as a mobile developer at FactSet Research Systems. He graduated from University of Maryland with a degree in computer science (go Terps!). In his free time, he enjoys exploring NYC and playing video games.
Andrew works on the Strategic Operations team. Prior to Stellar Health, he worked at Oliver Wyman, where he advised clients across a variety of topics, including healthcare payor strategy and provider performance measurement. Andrew graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A.S. in Computer Science. In his free time, Andrew enjoys exploring new restaurants, watching basketball, and spending time outdoors.

Prior to joining Stellar, Ben worked at Analysis Group in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research practice, where he studied patient treatment patterns and burden of disease. Ben grew up in Minnesota and graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Economics. In his free time, Ben enjoys playing soccer, going to trivia night, and writing album reviews.
Caitlin is the Director of HR at Stellar Health. Prior to Stellar, Caitlin spent the past decade in New York City with other technology companies. She has managed HR and Recruiting for international startups and helped scale high-growth businesses. Her favorite role to date (outside Stellar of course) was working at Spring as Director, HR and Head of Recruiting. A fun fact about Caitlin, she has run 10 marathons, and Berlin was by far her most favorite course!
Justin is a Software Engineer on the Internal Operations Tools team. Prior to joining Stellar, he was a student at Stony Brook University double majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and Statistics. He was also a Software Engineer Intern at Fidelity Investments and studied abroad at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for a summer. In his free time, he loves to do anything related to the outdoors, from hiking to swimming. He also enjoys strolling through Asian supermarkets and corner stores looking for the newest and hottest snacks to hit the shelves. It’s rather concerning how much he’s invested into these snacks.
Stavroula started with Stellar Health back in 2019 as a Business Administration Intern and joined full-time as a Business Development Coordinator upon graduating from Loyola University in May 2020. She is now a Business Development Associate who works cross-functionally on internal business development and on our Provider Sales team, aspiring to learn all she can about healthcare. Outside Stellar Health, Stavroula loves traveling, photography, and food.
